How to mount the SV106 to the SV503?

How to mount the SV106 to the SV305? We all know that SV106 and SV503 are our star products, and many people use them together. So, what accessories, screws, and wrenches do we need?

Below I will introduce two mounting methods, Including specifications of the required accessories, screws, and wrench.

Method 1: Mount SV106 near the focusing seat of SV503

For this method, you need a 2.5mm hexagon key, remove the screws of the SV503 near the focusing seat. Then, use the screws to fix the dovetail slot (W2370A) to the place near the focusing seat. you should pay more attention to tighten the two screws. we all know SV106  has a hoop and a dovetail base, you only need to fix the dovetail base at the dovetail slot. Of course, you also can use this method to mount the SV165 to the SV503.

Method 2: Mount SV106 at the telescope body of SV503

To choose this method, first, you need the dovetail plate (F9143C or F9143D) and the dovetail slot (F9144C, F9144D). Then using 2 M6 screws (length 10mm) to fix the dovetail plate to the SV503.

Using 2 M8 screws (length 20mm) to fix the dovetail slot (F9144C, F9144D) and the dovetail base of the SV106. you also should prepare a 5mm hexagon key for M6 screws and a 6mm hexagon key for M8 screws. at last, you can mount the SV106 and the dovetail slot (F9144C, F9144D) to the dovetail plate (F9143C or F9143D).

At last, you can mount the SV106 and the dovetail slot (F9144C, F9144D) to the dovetail plate (F9143C or F9143D).

Some people DIY some accessories to install the SV106 on the SV503. If you can ensure that it is stable enough, that's fine, because the basic principles are the same.
