Cnonnecting the SV503-102 Telescope with the SV193 Field Flattener and the SV605CC Camera: A Complete guide

Have you ever longing for taking the photos of splendid stars when  staring at the night sky? If so, we recommend a SV503-102 astronomical telescope to you. It can capture the distant starlight and bring you a distinctive astrophotography experience.

Exploring stars sky with SV503-102 requires equipping some specific tools, and it's also suitable for beginners, which has made it beloved by many astronomy enthusiasts. In this Blog, I'll explain how to connect the SV503-102 astronomical telescope with the SV193 field flattener & focal reducer and the SV605CC cooled camera to help you take beautiful photos of stars or deep-sky galaxies.

Why choose SV503-102ED refractor telescope?

The SV503-102 astronomical telescope have a doublet air spaced achromatic S-FPL51 ED glass to provide you less chromatic aberration image; In addition, it has ultra wide band fully multi-layer coating technology and 102mm aperture optics and retactable lens hood deliver bright wide-field images with sharp resolution; What's more, it also comes with dual-speed rack and pinion focuser to help you get precious focus easily.

How to connect your equipment?

Do you have these items but don't know how to connect them? Follow these simple steps:

Step 1:The connection between the camera and adapter

Connect the 21mm adapter to the SV605CC astronomical camera, and then connect the 16.5mm M48 to M42 thread adapter to the the 21mm adapter.

Step 2:The connection between the camera and filed flattener

Connect the 16.5mm M48 to M42 thread adapter to the M48 threaded interface of the SV193 field flattener, at which point the distance from the filed flattener to the camera sensor chip meets the 55mm back focal length requirement.

Step 3:The connection between the field flattener and the telescope

Remove the original 2-1.25 inch adapter from the SV503-102 telescope. Insert the 2-inch interface of the field flattener into the SV503-102 astronomical telescope, then tighten the screws to secure it.

Step 4: Adjust focal length and observe deep space imaging on the computer

Finally, aim at the target you wish to observe, and after adjusting the focus appropriately based on the computer imaging effect, you will be able to see the image you desire.

Note: Since the SV226 filter drawer has the same thickness as the 21mm adapter, if the SV226 filter drawer is used, this filter drawer can directly replace the 21mm adapter.

Conclusion

The SV503 astrophotography telescope allows every astronomy enthusiast to easily capture the beauty of the universe, enabling them to witness the incredibly stunning cosmic beauty. No need for expensive equipment, no need for extensive experience, just follow the above steps to correctly connect the SV503 telescope and its accessories, and you will be able to record your own starry trajectory.
