IR Pass filter with a MAK90mm

I tried this filter out with my 90mm Maksutov on Saturn using a 2x Barlow. The difference in planetary imaging compared to the UV/IR cut filter was quite considerable. There was a cleaner image produced, with less atmospheric distortion, whilst retaining some colour information. This could be a more affordable option than the ADC, although using both would probably still be better. The moon was a bit more of a challenge as the red hue given off, was difficult to focus. I will persist and give the moon another go as the detail was clean otherwise.

Perfect packaging, filter clean, very high quality. I'll check in. Thanks to the seller.

1. Sufficient reduction of seeing effects, heightened contrast: The IR Pass filter can be a great asset for daylight IR-imaging with a digital camera lessening seeing effects and improving contrast when utilized for lunar and planetary imaging.

2. The IR Pass 685nm Filter is made with high-end glass that has been multi-coated with an ion-assisted deposition technology to ensure scratch resistance and stability on the central wavelength.

3. The filter cell is made of lightweight, strong metal and is CNC machined, sand-blasted, black anodized, and then laser engraved. The result is a super thin filter cell that will produce a clear aperture of 26mm or 44mm.

4. The Filter can darken the twilight sky background, allowing mages of the moon and planets to be taken at dawn or dusk.

5. In addition to astronomical uses, the IR-Pass filter can be used for nature photography in the Near-IR, revealing stunning differences in plants, sky, and clouds (requires the use of a camera that is sensitive to IR above 670nm, such as a modified DSLR or webcam).

6. The filters are presented in a high-quality filter box.

7. SV183 filter cell is made of lightweight; strong metal and is CNC machined; sand-blasted; black anodized; The result is a super thin filter cell that will produce a clear aperture of 26mm

8. SV183 IR Pass 685nm filter; M48*0.75 thread; standard 2 inches can be connected with eyepieces or telescope cameras with the same thread to achieve the purpose of observation or shooting

9. Telescope filter cell is made of lightweight; strong metal and is CNC machined; sand-blasted; black anodized; and then laser engraved

10. The IR Pass filter blocks wavelengths below 670nm; reduce the effects of seeing when used in IR-LRGB imaging of the moon and planets

11. Sufficient reduction of seeing effects; heightened contrast; the IR Pass filter can be a great asset for daylight IR-imaging with a digital camera lessening seeing effects and improving contrast when utilized for lunar and planetary imaging

12. The IR Pass 685nm filter is made with high-end glass that has been multi-coated with an ion-assisted deposition technology to ensure scratch resistance and stability on the central wavelength

13. The filter can darkens the twilight sky background; allowing images of moon and planets to be taken at dawn or dusk

14. The IR Pass 685nm filter is presented in a quality filter box; protects the product from damage in transit and facilitates storage when not in use

Note: The filters of SVBONY are not designed for observation. It doesn't work for visuals.
