SV555 astrophotography telescope camera lens can adjust the aperture from F22 to F4.5; professional astronomical photography lens includes a graded adjustment ring and scale; keeping the parameters the same without changing due to accidental touching; increasing the accuracy of shooting, meeting a variety of use needs.
The SV555 ED APO astro camera lens uses integrated structure and light weight; increasing the ease of use when shooting.
SV555 APO astro camera lens is featured with a handle; bracker; and dovetail plate; making it more convenient to use the lens when shooting. With a lockable 360° rotator and rotatable lens tube, the APO telephoto lens is convenient for adjusting and saving the angle. Whether daily shooting or astrophotography, you can find a suitable angle for a better shooting effect.
Compatible with cameras; the M72 front filter thread can be connected to the camera filter for daily photography; the design increases the flexibility and ease of the APO telephoto lens. Dual rotate design; lockable 360° rotator and lens tube help you adjust the angle accurately; astrophotography telescope offers a better photography effect to you.
Increased image quality; SV555 APO astro camera lens consists of a 3-group 5-piece petzval objective lens structure; which includes a set of triplet lens; bringing you a clearer image. Petzval objective lens structure with triplet lens offers a flatter field of view (Due to mechanical errors, the back focus distance is between 52-56mm. You can use a 2 inch filter to assist in obtaining the accurate focus position.)

FAQ
- Q1: The filter thread on the rear adapter plate of the SV555 does not have enough space to install the filters.
A1: The internal filter slot of the CAA supports standard 2-inch filters with a thickness of 7.5mm. If you are using filters thicker than 10mm, they may not be compatible.
- Q2: The four small screws for installing the camera adapter plate are cumbersome to remove and replace. This should be a threaded solution.
A2: The design features a standard 55mm back focus, which has already reserved space for filter installation. The filter mount in the CAA is more of an alternative option. If you plan to change filters while shooting, we recommend equipping a filter drawer or a filter wheel.
- Q3: The camera rotation ring operates smoothly. Sometimes, it causes the entire tube to rotate within the mounting bracket instead of just the camera rotator.
- A3: To address this issue, we recommend replacing the thumb screw inside the clamp with an M5 hex socket screw. The threading specifications remain consistent, allowing you to secure the clamp tightly using an Allen wrench, preventing the CAA from rotating the entire telescope.
- Q4: The lens cap is difficult to put on, perhaps it's due to the dew shield?
- A4: The objective lens cap needs to be screwed on rather than simply pressed. Align it with the threaded opening and turn clockwise to secure it firmly.
- Q5: The dovetail cannot be attached to the Arca-Swiss mount.
- A5: We will optimize the overall design to ensure compatibility with Arca-Swiss mounts. Currently, if you are using an Arca-Swiss bracket, we recommend considering the F9143C dovetail plate, which features a UNC 1/4 thread output that meets astronomical requirements.
- Q6: What is the problem of a "pinched stars"?
- A6: The cause of this problem is not in the best focus. If in the right focus, it would disappear. You can solve this problem through the following solutions. If in 55mm back focus, pls set your EAF working parameters: please set the step size to 80-100; backlash about 30. Before starting EAF, please manually rotate the focus ring to move between the 164-∞ symbols, and then start EAF autofocus. The normal SV555 focus position should be around "∞"
- Q7: Some other brand features dual-speed focusing while SV555 is helical focusing.
- A7: Our standard EAF (Electronic Automatic Focuser) installation kit meets customers' needs for precise focusing.
- Q8: The rear 2-inch filter on the Askar can be easily unscrewed by hand, unlike the SV555, which has four hex screws that require removal each time you change the filter.
- A8: To ensure collimation with the M48 camera interface, we designed the SV555 with four fixed screw holes. The CAA comes equipped with a built-in 2-inch filter slot, which is more suitable for portable color camera users who typically do not require frequent filter changes. However, for professional astrophotographers, we recommend a dedicated filter drawer and electronic filter wheel as the preferred solution. We provide a standard 55mm back focus, allowing for seamless filter switching for professional users.
