The solid construction and spreader plate design of this tripod provide confidence and functionality. At the listed discount price, it is an excellent value. I have used it with the SV225 AZ mount and my SV48P telescope for hours of viewing pleasure. Being only 900mm in height, I suggest you bring along a stool or chair for more comfortable viewing. I like that it folds up to only 50cm, making it very portable and convenient for travel. It will become my standard go-to tripod for visual astronomy.
