- The main function of ADC is to reduce the color change caused by atmospheric dispersion and improve the imaging effect of planets, especially low-altitude planets;
- A pair of prism lenses adopts double-sided coating process to reduce light loss; coating adopts anti-reflective broad-band; applicable range from 300nm to 700nm;
- Camera and eyepiece side 1.25 inches barrel with T2 male thread; adaption is simple through T2 thread and 1.25 inches barrel on camera side and 1.25 inches barrel on telescope side;
- Through the use of 2 quality minimum 1λ BK7 prisms, it corrects the false colour introduced by the earth´s atmosphere, double wedge prism with 4.5 degree declination adjustment range;
- The ADC corrects the dispersion effects of earth´s atmosphere; you will get sharper images of planets and moon; when used for planetary imaging; it changes the clarity of the image dramatically; particularly in the luminance channel when LRGB imaging;
- Ring scale for adjusting dispersion correction; less fringing; clearer planet photos and more details; the eyepiece or camera installation interface adopts coaxial locking interface ensures sufficient coaxiality;
- FMC prism lens; prism lenses employ a double-sided coating process to reduce light loss make sure the light transmission of the ADC is high.
The SV199 ADC—Atmospheric dispersion corrector, used to eliminate the effect of atmospheric dispersion in planetary photography and visual observation. It can reduce color variations caused by atmospheric dispersion and improve imaging of planets, especially low-altitude planets.
How to use the SV199 Atmospheric dispersion corrector
Steps 1: Turn the center mark to the 0 position, tighten and fix it, and then adjust the two handles to be in line with the center mark. (The center mark is at the intersection of the two rails).
Steps 2: Mount the ADC on the telescope so that it is parallel to the horizontal direction of the telescope's field of view.
Steps 3: Adjust the declination handle oppositely, and the scale on the ADC can ensure that the two long rods rotate the same distance. (When the two rotating handles are on the same vertical line, the two wedge-shaped prisms are at the zero point position (that is, the two prisms are in a parallel state and there is no included angle); When the two handles are rotated in opposite directions to the limit, the maximum angle is 4.5°. During the adjustment process, always observe the changes of the electrical image, do not adjust too much and avoid insufficient adjustment).
