Purchased this package as a planetary scope. I had issues with the red dot finder not aligning and ended up shimming the shoe on the telescope to work. Further investigation found the finder front lens flops loose side to side. I replaced the red dot finder in the package with a telrad finder which solved the problem. I also use a founder optics binoviewer and have to say the views of the moon are spectacular. I also have a williams optics binoviewer but prefer the founder optics design.
I have pictures but don't know how to attach them.
Only used this scope a few times but recommend for planetary astronomy and if you can afford it, a binoviewer.
A favorable choice for plantary photography!
I receive the SC311 recently, and tried to use it on SVBony MK105, 2X Barlow, and color correction filter, perfect job.
