Perfect Little Scope
I am an amateur astronomer and also a nature watcher and wanted a small scope to complete my arsenal.
My main scope is a 4" tabletop Dobsonian and my binos are Svbony 10x50 roof prisms. I'm perfectly happy with both my reflector and binos but wanted a scope that gave large, sharp images of the moon. I'm not really interested in DSO.
I'm disabled and am restricted to observing from my balcony under Bortle 6 skies and I'm unable to work due to my disability so cost was really important.
The SV41 is ideal for my purposes as I can set it on the table that I use for my Newtonian or I can set it on my binocular tripod.
Operation is really simple and the focusser and magnifier are both smooth and responsive.
Images are crisp using lower magnifications but it's more tricky at high mag. I did get a stunningly beautiful sight of the new moon last night though at every level of magnification so I'm extremely happy. I wish that I'd got the pro version as it's more adaptable but this does do a great job considering the cost.
Good value, excellent product
I bought this to do target spotting at the range. I particularly bought this for its smaller size than a standard spotting scope. I am not at all disappointed. It is easy to setup, takes up minimal space on the shooting table, and has a nice, sharp image at all ranges of the zoom. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good, compact spotting scope.
