SV705CC

Is quite good price for this camera. Sensor is IMX585 with 92% QE, I use it for DSO photography especially when the objects are very small like M51, M74, M101 galexies.

Loving it

Just got this camera less than 2 weeks ago. So far no problem. Took a lovely picture of the moon. This is a replacement for my old Canon dslr. I am looking fwd to do some more astrophotography with this. Clear skies

Great camera

Got this camera little over a week ago. Tested it and it works like a charm. No problems so far.

Great beginner camera for dso and planetary.

I took an 2hrs exposure on ngc281 with Cls and uv/ir cut filter. No fr/ff used, no calibration frames and it looks already pretty good. Nice.

Fantastic camera

I got this to shoot planetary nebulae, and I sold my 224 when I got this (the 224 was for guiding and planets). I'm getting excellent results with my 8" and it works really well with my SV503 80mm as well for other deep sky imaging. Having no glow means I don't need dark calibration, which means I don't need to worry about the operating temperature. I also get good results shooting the planets. When using SharpCap, I easily get 140 FPS, and I've gotten up to 250 FPS using a reasonable ROI. I have noticed mild banding, but hardly. Any banding which you might find by pixel-peeping doesn't show up in the final images. My observatory is a Raspberry Pi 5 running Kstars/Ekos. It was a pain to get the INDI drivers working for the Svbony CCD, but there's a script online which does the entire install for you. A mini-PC would probably be better, but controlling a Linux device over a network has its advantages. Point is that the SV705 works perfectly. I use an SV305M Pro for guiding.

Great Camera with capabilities of DSO photography. IMX585 is great sensor, SVBony made it cheap for us with great quality. Really worth to try.

Super Finderscope camera!

I use for Finderscope with an c-mount 50mm F1.4 lens. Amazing, very sensible, I see all the stars and planets needed.

Great for solar photography with a small refractor (and appropriate filters)

I bought this camera recently for the 2024 Solar Eclipse as I didn't have a planetary camera and wanted something quickly so I could try it out and get comfortable with it. I paired this with my 71mm triplet refractor that also has a hydrogen alpha etalon and blocking filter. I had zero problems with this configuration, and everything worked as it should from drivers to functioning with SharpCap. If you are completely new to dedicated astrophotography cameras, there will be a learning curve to using this. If you have used them before, this should be pretty familiar territory and for me at least there were no surprises or gotchas.

Planétaire et un peu de Deep Sky

Je l'ai achetée en remplacement de ma sv305. Parfait pour le planétaire sur mon dobson 1200mm avec le Barlow x5 svbony. J'ai même pu faire du ciel profond avec sharpcap sur des petits objets comme la nébuleuse de la bulle. La prise en main est rapide, les drivers fonctionnent bien je l'utilise avec sharpcap Camera idéale pour débuter et confirmés

The SV705C camera is best used with a refractor or reflector telescope mounted on an equatorial mount that can accurately track the motion of the sky.  It is not intended for taking images through the eyepiece of a telescope. You may also require additional accessories and filters to get the best results.

    If you want to use the SV705C camera capture images through telescope eyepiece. You need buy an eyepiece projection adapter.
